Looking For a Telescope or a Pair of  Binoculars To Observe The Sun?

NEVER, never, never look at the sun with  Binoculars or a Telescope without solar filter lenses.  Solar filter lenses are special lenses designed for telescopes and for binoculars that filters out the intensity of sun rays that damages the eye, making it possible for you to observe the sun without damaging the retina of your eyes. —Failure to take this precaution will cause permanent damage to the retina of your eyes and permanent blindness. —Telescopes and binoculars magnify light, thus, without solar filters it will magnify the light of the sun resulting in permanent damage and blindness.

If you are looking for a telescope to observe the sun, do not use it until you purchase the appropriate solar filter lens, especially designed for solar viewing, and be extra careful with your telescope especially if curious children are around.  Teach them the safe way to view the sun, and remove all non solar filter lenses from your telescope and store them away from the reach of children, as they are curious and may be inclined to look at the sun with regular lens in the telescope.

Also, when observing solar eclipses, wear the appropriate CE certified Eclipse glasses, and don’t just wear regular sun glasses.  Your eyes are your most precious gift from God, don’t do anything to damage it.  Wear the appropriate solar protection before viewing the sun.  And again, teach small children and curious children the danger of observing the sun without proper protection.
